This gorgeous baby girl was my last newborn session before our shelter in place. It took a little bit to ease into the poses; she was a bit alert on arrival. We started with froggy, but had to change up our workflow and come back to it later. I just knew how much her mom and grandmother really wanted this pose so we attempted again and alas, we finally got it! This beautiful ballerina pink backdrop by Fancy Fabrics was probably one of my favorite colors next to her skin tone and of course, one can never go wrong with a plummy purple and a pretty seafoam green color. This session was so bittersweet due to knowing I’d have to go so long after this session without shooting newborns or any session for that matter. COVID has changed so much and I really wasn’t sure that I would return to this business again. I am also an RN and have been out of practice since my son was born 3 years ago. I was presented with an amazing opportunity when I least expected it and will be returning to nursing this summer. This job will have an amazing schedule for my family and I am super excited about the change, which I have felt I’ve needed for a long time! As of now, I am almost certain (but almost cringe saying it) that I will officially only be accepting newborn sessions from this point forward. It has been my primary focus and specialty in this business of mine for the last few years. And that will be VERY limited, as in probably 1 or 2 per season.
I hope that you will enjoy these highlights from Zaylee’s newborn session 😍
Typically, newborn sessions are scheduled between 6-15 days old. I spend a tremendous amount of time on the planning and details of these sessions so I only book four per month to give my clients a great experience! If you are expecting and interested in reserving a session on my calendar, I recommend booking months in advance to ensure availability.
